Coronavirus Contingency Policy & Remote Learning Website - NOW LIVE

1 October 2020 (by admin)

Our Trust Coronavirus Contingency Policy and new remote learning website is now live.

to review our coronavirus Contingency Policy if our local area sees a spike in coronavirus (COVID-19) infection rates that is resulting in localised community spread.

This policy sets out how we will prepare for these circumstances and have contingency plans in place to ensure the continuity of education for pupils.

We’ve created this dedicated website to support your child’s education where a class, group or small number of pupils need to self-isolate, or there is a local lockdown requiring pupils to remain at home during coronavirus.

Our high-quality video lessons and resources are available throughout 2020/21.

With an uncertain year ahead, we can ease your remote and in-school learning. Whatever happens, we’re here to support our pupils, parents and carers.

In developing this website, we will also

  • use a curriculum sequence that allows you and your child to access high-quality online and offline resources and teaching videos linked to the school’s curriculum expectations.
  • provide printed resources, such as textbooks and workbooks, for pupils who do not have suitable online access.
  • Send Activities to pupils.

We will publish a weekly timetable that runs parallel with the school’s curriculum expectations offering you advice on how to structure the day including making time to be active as our pupils are used to regular play at lunch and break times.

If you have any questions or feedback, please get in touch with your child’s class teacher via Class Dojo in the first instance.

To get started simply click your child’s year group tile via the home page to access information, guidance, support and remote education for children who are learning at home this week.
